Despite all the critical and
box-office success, comic book adaptations are still seen by Hollywood, meaning
some directors, writers, and critics, as nothing more than juvenile fanfare, so
if an actor wants to get some accolades from the industry, let's say a Golden
Globe the odds aren't that great.
Speaking to The Independent, soon to
be Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Chadwick Boseman revealed
that besides playing the part and the hefty paycheck that comes with it, he is
more excited with the prospects of having an action figure than a Golden Globe.
"When it comes down to it, I’d
rather have an action figure than a Golden Globe."
Boseman's first action figures will
be pouring in with his first appearance as the Black Panther on Captain
America: Civil War in May 6, 2016, and then on his own standalone film on November
3, 2017.
