Once a month director
Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In The Air) stages live performances of movie scripts
at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The Princess Bride, The Apartment, and
American Beauty are some of plays the director has done in the past, but this
one is slightly different. Reitman has taken upon himself to bring Star Wars:
The Empire Strikes Back to the stage, and for that he has cast Aaron Paul (Breaking
Bad) as Luke Skywalker, J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man) as Darth Vader, Stephen
Merchant (Extras) as C-3PO Kevin Pollak (The Usual Suspects) as Yoda, and
Dennis Haysbert (24) as Lando Clarissian. The casting choices for Han Solo,
Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and the rest are still unknown.
If you are interested
in attending (assuming there are still tickets) you can purchase the tickets
here.
