Earlier this morning at a special screening for the
Guardians of the Galaxy Blu-ray extras, director James Gunn sat down with
Entertainment Weekly to talk about Guardians and highly anticipated sequel.
The interview covered the balancing act of introducing
Thanos, making a James Gunn movie, the color scheme, but also about what
characters he would like to explore in future movies.
"Yondu and Kraglin, the Ravagers. And I love
Nebula. I think that she is underutilized in the film. I want to see more of
her. The Collector."
The last
time we saw Nebula (Karen Gillan) she had commandeered a space ship and ran
away most likely to go to Thanos. Yondu (Michael Rooker), and Kraglin (Sean
Gunn) should pop-up in the sequel since they were duped by Quill, and they know
who his father his. As for the Collector, Gunn says that will show is
collection once again, just maybe not in the next film.
"He’ll reappear. I don’t know if he’s gonna been
the next one. I do think his story is really compelling, and I think he’s one
of those very interesting shades of gray characters."
