Kicking off in April 1, DC Comics'
Convergence will be a nine-week miniseries that will "spill into 40
two-part miniseries in April and May featuring a variety of writers and artists
examining the worlds of the DC Universe over the decades, as well as the heroes
and villains contained within."
Co-publisher Dan DiDio describes
Convergence as a "meta epic" that involves Braniac getting together
all the cities he has collected from the multiverse over the years and see how
their populations react to one and other. A new villain named Telos (Greek philosophical
term for "end" or "goal") will also be introduced in the
series, which will be written by Jeff King (White Collar, Continuum), who makes
his comic debut.
