The Crow remake refuses
to take off. Following years of legal disputes over the rights, and a
pre-production that only the most boring of bureaucrats could come up, i.e. too
long, too long, it seems things are finally moving ahead.
Speaking at the Abu
Dhabi Film Festival, producer Ed Pressman revealed that he is aiming to start
production on The Crow remake "in the spring", with the
intent of introducing the IP to a whole new generation.
Pressman also said
that the casting wasn’t done yet, but while attending the BAFTA's Luke Evans
revealed that they will be “bringing to the screen a lot of parts of
the story that were never really told."
A considerable amount
of time has passed, but director F. Javier Gutierrez was at one point attached
to helm the remake.
The first Crow, with
Brandon Lee came out in 1994.
