Well
it looks like Joaquin Phoenix doubts about whether we could play the Sorcerer
Supreme in Marvel's Doctor Strange got old for the studio, which had been
trying to pin down the actor since before SDCC'14. Therefore, a new search for
a new Stephen Strange began and it seems that it was a quick one, as it looks
like they have already found one.
According
to This Is Infamous actor Ethan Hawke, who starred in Doctor Strange
director Scott Derrickson's Sinister has not only been approached by the
studio, but already accepted the role and is now in final talks.
"Ethan
Hawke is their new guy, having offered him the role on Friday. I hear Hawke
accepted the job over the weekend, and things have quickly progressed into
contract talks, with a six-picture deal being what Marvel is hoping to lock him
into."
As always, take
the rumor with a grain of salt, as they (as far as I can tell) are the only
ones claiming Ethan Hawke's involvement in the project.
