The Specter Was Cast & Joins Constantine

Irish actor Emmett Scanlan has been cast as Jim Corrigan, and will appear on the upcoming Constantine as a recurring guest star.

Carrigan is "a homicide detective in New Orleans who is plunged into Constantine's world of occult horrors. Furthermore, Corrigan is someone who is obsessed with justice, and who doesn't let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman."

I expect that Carrigan will eventually become The Specter, and that this isn't just a nod to the character.

The actor was recently seen as the Head Riot Guard in director James Gunn Guardians of the Galaxy.

Constantine premieres on October 24th on NBC.
