Following the recent confirmation that a Supergirl tv
series is being developed, and that The CW, who already houses Arrow and the
upcoming Flash, had passed on the opportunity to add yet another superhero to
hits schedule, comes a few new details about the show, including one that suggests
that the network might actually be interested in it, and more.
According to Deadline and contrary to previous reports,
Michael Green doesn't have anything to do with the project, which is being
developed by Greg Berlanti (The Flash), and Ali Adler, who will be writing a "new interpretation of the
the Supergirl character and her story". DC's Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns is also
expected to be involved, but it's not yet clear in what capacity. The news
outlet adds that "the Supergirl show doesn’t
have a name yet. I hear the producers are considering several options that need
to be cleared, including Super and Girl."
The Hollywood
Reporter clarifies
Deadline statements by saying that "the project
will not be called Supergirl."
