After some drama, it seems that the Supergirl
live-action tv series has found a home. According to TV Line, Superman's cousin
has received a series commitment at CBS.
The-hour long drama will focus
on Kara Zor-El following her escape from Kripton. The official logline says
that she has been "hiding the powers she shares with her famous
cousin" and that now at
the age of 24, "she decides to embrace her superhuman
abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be."
The pilot was written by Ali Alder (No Ordinary Family) and Greg Berlanti
(Arrow), whom will executive produce the show alongside Sarah Schechter and
Warner Bros.
