In a recent
interview actor Stacey Keach, who you can currently see as Wellenquist in Sin
City: A Dame To Kill For, spoke about the film's lack of success at the
box-office, and the genre.
For the film's
flop status Keach said that:
"The movie’s not doing great, I think the reason
the critics are saying is that they waited too long. Waited too long between
the original and sequel. Its not doing business. I have a feeling that its
longevity down the road will show, and it will be redeemed."
As for whether the genre will
"fizzle out!", the actor says no as long as there are good writers
and producers attached to the projects.
"No, I don’t think its gonna fizzle out!
Animation and graphic storytelling are here to stay. Its part of the form of
language of film," later adding, "Its about the
writing. Its all about the writing, the vision, the writers and the
producers."
The actor made its point with Marvel's latest film, Guardian of the
Galaxy.
"Isn’t that a great movie?! Bradley Cooper, look
at him! I loved that movie, just loved it. That’s another example of a
combination of style. Inclusion of animated figures working with live action
figures."
