Paramount
Pictures is clearly feeling confident with what Thor: The Dark World director
Alan Taylor is doing with his reboot of the Terminator franchise in Terminator:
Genisys as they have already announced the release dates for the next two
entries.
The original
plan was always to do a new trilogy, and judging by the dates it is safe to
assume that the last two installments will be shot back to back, as the second
entry is scheduled to open on May 19th, 2017, and the third on June 29th, 2018.
Despite the
announcement, Paramount didn't confirmed nor deny if Taylor will continue with
the property after Genisys.
Opening on July 1st, Terminator;
Genisys stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jai
Courtney as Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke as John Connor, J.K. Simmons, Byung-hun
Lee, Douglas Smith, and Matt Smith.
