Jeremy Renner Talks Captain America 3 Rumors; Spin-Off & Avengers 2

There have been lot talks lately about Hawkeye's possible appearance in Captain America 3 and a future spin-off film. Well in a recent interview Renner elaborates on that, his contract, and his role in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

"Oh, that’s a rumor all right! I don’t know what’s going to happen. I know it’s going to start shooting in March. I haven’t had any official conversations about doing it or not," said Renner to the Daily Beast when asked if he was in Cap 3.

Renner than revealed that Avengers 2 is wrapped and that he's only doing some pick-ups. The actor also reiterates his previous statements about the dimension of his role in the new film, and more.

"We have to do some pick-up shots here and there, but for the most part. Hulk has a more prominent role, and I have a more prominent role. There are a lot more scenes of the entire Avengers gang together—both in and out of the cape, so to speak. It’s making me become a total fanboy. It’s pretty fun to be a part of."

Renner was then asked about his contract with Marvel, and he revealed that aside from the three Avengers films he also has a clause for a possible Hawkeye spin-off.

"I think most actors will sign on to do, like… Captain America 1-3 and then The Avengers 1-3, and then you’re done. For me, I signed on to The Avengers 1-3 and then Hawk-Eye, in case they want to do a Hawk-Eye spin-off."

In a different interview Renner reveals a bit more about what we can expect of his character in Age of Ultron.

"Well there's a lot more in this next Avengers, which is great.  It was fun to finally kind of discover who Clint Barton is a little bit.  We have some good secrets revealed. I think everything that was great about the first Avengers, is exponentially expressed in this one. From the action, to the making fun of itself, and there's a lot more time spent with the Avengers together, after being so separated in the first one.  We've got some great new goodies, and some good baddies."

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.
