At the end of The Amazing
Spider-Man 2 we are greeted to a credit roll that teases the roster of the
upcoming spin-off, Sinister Six. The credit features parts of objects that
represent the future lineup for the spin-off, and while some are easy to
identify, others were not. We know that Rhino, Vulture, Green Goblin, and Doc
Ock are there, but there was some confusion as to who the remaining two were.
In the bonus disc of The Amazing
Spider-Man blu-ray, director Mark Webb confirms that the mask represents Mysterio,
and that the catlike object is actually a spear, which represents Kraven the
Hunter. Despite the confirmation, the director is unsure if the characters will
be part of the supervillain team, and is it just me, but does it sound like they
did the tease on a whim?
