Warner
Bros. and Legendary Pictures have announced today that the sequel to
director Gareth Edwards' Godzilla will be released on June 8th, 2018.
Edwards' will be directing an untitled Star Wars spin-off that will
be released on December 16th, 2016, hence the four year gap. This
confirms Legendary's bet on director Gareth Edwards with the Godzilla
property, which grossed $500 million so far.
The
sequel will include the return of some of Godzilla's best known foes,
like Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah.
