The feature film adaptation of the video game
franchise, Deus EX has found a new screenwriter. According to HV, CBS films
have hired Predators screenwriter Michael Finch (Hitman: Agent 47) to work the
script, which draws a lot from Deus EX: Human Revolution, and will revolve
around am ex-SWAT turned security specialist, who unravels a global conspiracy
after undergoing cybernetic augmentations.
Sinister scribes Scott Derrickson (upcoming Doctor
Strange), and Robert Cargil wrote the previous draft for Deus EX, when Derrickson
was still attached to direct, but given that the director has his hands full
with Strange, it's unclear if is still on board.
