According to THR, Dead Hooker In a Trunk directors,
Jen and Sylvia Soska have been tapped to adapt Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe
Quesada's comic book Painkiller Jane.
This won't be the first time the comic has been
adapted. Back in 2005 Syfy aired a tv movie starring Emmanuelle Vaugier, and
then in 2007 the same network produced a tv series based on the character,
starring Kristanna Loken (T:3)
Jane centers on the titular heroine, a cop, who, along with with her best
friend and partner, goes undercover into an interconnected drug ring.
When Jane’s identity is exposed, her subsequent torture leaves her with
preternatural regenerating abilities and a high tolerance for pain.
