Vulture has revealed some new
bits of additional information regarding Thanos' appearance in James Gunn's
Guardians of the Galaxy, and which Infinity Stone, aka Gem from the Infinity
Gauntlet will appear.
First the site says that the
reason why Josh Brolin, who was recently announced as the voice of Thanos, will
only do the voice and not the mo cap, is because Thanos will appear in the
first act as a hologram, and that will be how he will stay for the majority of
the movie, with the exception of when he briefly appears in a scene with Ronan
and Nebula. Despite this the site notes that the "characters
reference him often and fearfully."
Vulture goes on to say that the Infinity Stone in
Guardians of the Galaxy is the Power Gem.
Directed by James
Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe
Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Josh Brolin, Michael Rooker, Ophelia Lovibond, Benicio
Del Toro, Lee Pace, Djimon Honsou, Gregg Henry, Glenn Close, John C. Reilly,
Peter Serafinowicz, and Laura Haddock.
Guardians of the
Galaxy opens on August 1st in the US and on July 31st in the UK.
