Daredevil will be the first of the new live-action series
that Marvel is going to put out in partnership with Netflix. Drew Goddard was
initially attached as showrunner, but after a higher calling (Sinister Six) summoned
him, Marvel hired Spartacus creator Steven S. DeKnight to replace him, while
searching for a director to tackle the 13-episode series. While it's unknown which
episode he will direct, Luther, and Doctor Who director Farren Blackburn has
confirmed that he will be helming at least one episode of the series, which
stars, Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, and Vincent D'Onofrio.
