Dave Bautista, the maniac from
James Gunn's band of misfits, recently spoke with lehighvalleylive about the
character, and the director.
In the interview, Bautista said
he is beyond excited for Guardians and praised Gunn by saying, "James made it so easy." The former wrestler went on to say it's
scary when there is all this expectation for the film.
"Now the pressure's on. Now
it has to live up the hype... It's a scary thing when people's expectations are
so high."
Bautista goes on to say that his
character, Drax the Destroyer, was "emotional
roller-coaster."
The actor then added:
"That's the thing I
love about Drax. I don't think people were really expecting him to have such an
emotional range. Most people were thinking he's a one-note guy. But he's more
heartbroken than anything. That's what I love about the character. He goes from
rage to heartbroken over his family."
