Oscar Isaac Talks Star Wars And More On Adam Driver's Character (Rumor)

While meeting with The Sunday Times actor Oscar Isaac spoke about his love for the Star Wars franchise.

"could not be more excited to be a part of the Star Wars saga. It still seems hard to believe. Star Wars is a huge part of my family. Collecting toys, throwing themed parties. We had a big one for Return of the Jedi. I came as a gonk droid."

Isaac also spoke about the director.

"There are some big movies that are quite good. And interesting, and have interesting stories. I think one person in particular is JJ, JJ Abrams. He makes really good stories. He puts a lot of heart into them. They don’t feel like they’re just exploitive."

As you might have expected the actor didn't give anything away about the story, but says that he hopes that audiences will get something unexpected.

"I think there are a lot of different films you can be surprised by, and that have the element of the unknown and I think it is very important. It’s very important. That’s why I do understand some secrecy with certain films, not wanting to let it out."

In related news Adam Driver character might end up being the catalyst from which the story in Star Wars: Episode VII will unravel. Back in February Variety reported that the actor was going to be the main villain in the movie, and now according to Jedi News, his character will be a little bit more than just a villain.

"Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain...sort of. He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him."

Star Wars: Episode VII stars Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
