Universal Pictures has moved
up Luc Besson's sci-fi action thriller Lucy starring Scarlett
Johansson from its August 8 release to July 25th.
Johansson stars as Lucy, a
drug mule who is transformed into an incredible fighter capable of telekinesis
and clairvoyance as well as being able to put aside pain and emotions.
Opening on August 8th
July 25th, Lucy also stars Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton.

From La Femme Nikita and The
Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some
of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now,
Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a
woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors
and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
