Two weeks ago, Bleeding Cool ran
a piece on the missing characters from the cover of Marvel's 75th Anniversary Magazine.
Now the site is claiming that a source over at Marvel, said that Marvel is looking to
put the Fantastic Four books on hold, both the Ultimate and the Marvel Universe,
to try an pry the Fantastic Four movie franchise out of 20th Century Fox, and
back to base. The site adds that the characters will still appear in other
books, like the Avengers or the Inhumans, but that's it, as according to the
source, even artwork related to the FF is being taken down from the Marvel
offices.
I can understand that Marvel
wants the rights back, since they basically gave them away when they were going
bankrupt, but in all honesty i think this is crap, as in, not happening. If
Marvel even tries to pull this off, they will only get the readers angry and
achieve nothing in regards to the movie rights.
What do you think? Just a big
pile of S#$% or is there something to this story?
