Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures has hired the
talents of Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub for the upcoming Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles. Knoxville will voice Leonardo while Shalhoub will give voice to
Master Splinter.
Actor Pete Ploszek is lending his body to the motion
capture of Leo and Danny Woodburn to Splinter.
Opening on August 8th,
2014, Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot stars Alan
Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel
Fisher as Michelangelo, Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon
Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William Fichtner as Shredder.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Official Synopsis:
The city needs heroes.
Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have
an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is
grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their
destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless
reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city
and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
