Last month we reported that Joss
Whedon was going to set up shop in Seoul, South Korea for the highly anticipated
Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now according to THR we now know exactly where in
Seoul.
According to the Korean Film
Council, production in South Korea is expected to last between March 20th
and April 12th on the Jamsil and Mapo Bridges on the Han River;
Cheongdam Bridge, Teheran Boulevard, Gangnam Station, in the Gangnam district,
Sangam DMC and Yongsan where a U.S. military base is located.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police
Agency, Korean Culture Ministry and related film entities have already held
meetings about how to prepare for the shooting as many scenes will be shot in
very crowded areas of the city and to discuss crowd management as the shooting
is expected to attract swarms of fans.
"We believe the film will
contribute to the growth of local tourism and revamp the national image, so the
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency fully supports the filming of Avengers
here," said a spokesperson for the police body. "We will do our best
to manage the traffic according to the venue and time, so we can minimize
possible discomfort for local citizens."
Scarlett Johansson and Chris
Evans are scheduled to shoot in Seoul as is South Korean actress Kim Soo Hyun,
whose role is still being kept under wraps.
In the meantime production has
