With The Twilight saga done and
buried and with the The Hunger Games coming to an end with the next two movies,
Lionsgate is looking at Divergent as their next big YA franchise.
Directed by Neil Burger (Limitless),
Divergent is an adaptation of author Veronica Roth’s book of the same name and
stars Shailene Woodley as Tris a Divergent, someone that doesn’t fit in this
new world order, in which people are put into four distinctive groups according
to their personalities, and when she finds out that there's a conspiracy to
kill all those that are like her it's a race against time to find out why.
Divergent also stars Kate
Winslet, Theo James, Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Milles
Teller, Jai Courtney and Ray Stevenson.
Divergent is schedule to hit
theaters on March 21st of 2014.
