Earlier today Marvel Studios
President Kevin Feige said that weren’t backing down from the already scheduled
May 6th, 2016 release date, even though it shares the date with
Warner Bros. /DC Comics Batman vs. Superman. Feige added that the official
announcement of what movie was going to occupy that time slot was going to be
announced in the upcoming months, but now it seems that Captain America 3 is
the one chosen to go up against Bats and Sups.
A previous rumor had the sequel
for Guardians of the Galaxy in that slot, but now according to THR, Captain
America 3 is the one. At this time Captain America: The Winter Soldier
directors, Anthony and Joe Russo are in negotiations with Marvel to helm the
third movie and are already putting together an outline for a potential plot, and
although I can imagine that the brothers will return any official confirmation
should only appear after Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released.
As always take this lightly as it
hasn’t been confirmed, so until then keep checking back.
