It seems that director Steven Soderbergh’s self-imposed retirement isn’t going all that well. After last year’s brilliant and sparking Behind the Candelabra the director is now back with The Nick.
Showtime’s ten episode drama will
star Clive Owen, Andre Holland (42), Danny Hoch (Black Hawk Down), Suzanne
Savoy (Boardwalk Empire and House of Cards), Jeremy Bob (You Don’t Know Jack,
House of Cards) and Ying Ying Li.
Here is the teaser trailer for
the show, which takes place in New York in 1900 and stars Clive Owen as a
surgeon at the Knickerbocker Hospital in a time when antibiotics were just
fiction, medical procedures were very dangerous and the mortality rate was
extremely high.
The Knick will debut this summer on
Cinemax.
