Director, writer and actor Harold
Ramus has passed away at the age of 69. Ramis leaves behind an impressive and
funny body of work. As a writer he touched us all with Second City Television (SCTV),
National Lampoon's Animal House, Stripes and Ghostbusters. His filmmaking career
is filled with gems like Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, Groundhog Day
and Analyze This. As an actor he is probably most known as Dr. Egon Spengler in
Ghostbusters.
Mr. Ramis passed away at 12:53 a.m.
from complications of “autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that
involves swelling of the blood vessels” of which he had been suffering since
2010.
Our condolences go to Mr. Ramis
family and friends.
