Marvel Confirms South Korea Shoot For Avengers: Age of Ultron

Joss Whedon is currently shooting Avengers: Age of Ultron in Johannesburg, South Africa and has plans to start shooting in Aosta Valley in Italy sometime next week and now Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially announces that production will then move over to South Korea.

The country was already rumored to be in the list of shooting locations but now Feige confirms that Avengers: Age of Ultron will indeed be going to Seoul, South Korea.

"South Korea is the perfect location for a movie of this magnitude because it features cutting-edge technology, beautiful landscapes and spectacular architecture," Said Keving Feige. "We would especially like to thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) for making it possible for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' to come to Korea."

"We're very excited to have the production in Korea, and also expect this to serve as the footstep of many more opportunities yet to come,"

Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, James Spader as Ultron, Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Strucker, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill and Paul Bettany as Vision and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and opens on May 1st, 2015.
