Two weeks ago NBC announced that
they had ordered a pilot for Constantine from David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) and
Daniel Cerone’s (The Mentalist). Now Deadline is reporting that director Neil
Marshall has been taped to helm the pilot.
Constantine is based on the DC
Comics/Vertigo character of the same name from the Hellblazer comic book series.
Constantine is a supernatural detective with powers of his own who fights
supernatural beings and makes more foes then friends.
Marshall is no stranger to
supernatural/fantasy stories, having directed Dog Soldiers, along with The
Descent, Doomsday and Centurion as well as some episodes from HBO’s Game of
Thrones and Black Sails.
