We previously reported that Seth
Rogen, Jonah Hill and Evan Goldberg were getting back together after This Is
the End to develop an R-Rated animated film titled Sausage Party for Sony and
Annapurna Pictures. Now things have developed quite a lot and we are hearing
that Rogen, Hill, James Franco, Michael Cera, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Nick
Kroll, and David Krumholtz will be lending their voices to this raunchy
animation.
“Sausage Party is a raunchy
animated movie about one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his
existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new
friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to
their aisles before the 4th of July sale."
Sausage Party is based on an idea
by Rogen, Goldberg and Hill and written by Rogen, Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and
Ariel Shaffir and directed by Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2) and Greg Tiernan.
The film is set to open on
October 10th.
