Back in September we reported that David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone were writing an adaptation of the DC Comics/Vertigo comic book Constantine for tv. Now according to Deadline, NBC has order the show to go to pilot.
John Constantine was created by
comics legend and outsider Alan Moore in 1985 when the author was working on
the Swamp Thing title. In 1988 the character received its own imprint at
Vertigo under the title Hellblazer. The book ran for 300 issues before it was re-launched
in DC’s New 52 as Constantine. This new take on the character is rumored to be
the basis for Goyer and Cerone’s tv series.
