M. Night Shyamalan And Bruce Willis Back Together For Labor of Love

It seems that writer/director M. Night Shyamalan is resurrecting one of his earlier scripts and has asked an old friend to help him bring it to life. According to Deadline the director is currently in talks to re-team with his The Six Sense and Unbreakable star Bruce Willis for Labor of Love, which is one of the first screenplays that Shyamalan sold in his career. The script was bought by 20th Century Fox but was stuck in development hell because the studio didn’t want Shyamalan to direct it. A few years back Denzel Washington looked into starring in it but dropped it, and now Bruce Willis is looking to take on the lead role in the project.

Labor of Love revolves around a Philadelphia book store owner grieving the loss of his wife in a tragic accident. Filled with guilt over never telling her how much he loved her, the man decides to fulfill a promise to walk from their home in Philadelphia to Pacifica, California.

Shyamalan’s early films were rather good, but somehow along the way he got lost in a world of half-baked scripts, bad performances and crappy visuals, so let’s see if this resurrection is not only for the script but for himself.
