With Emilia Clarke set to play Sarah Connor and Jason Clarke to play John Connor, the producers in the upcoming Terminator: Genesis, the first of a trilogy, are now looking for someone to play Kyle Reese. The studio first approached Nicholas Hoult and Garrett Hedlund to play the role, but apparently both actors turned it down, so now Paramount is keen on casting a lesser known actor to play the role that Michael Biehn played in the 1984 original film.
According to Variety, actors Jai
Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Boyd Holbrook (The Host), Wilson Bethel (Hart
of Dixie), Sam Reid (Anonymous) and Tom Cocquerel are going to be testing for
the role next week. Arnold Schwarzenegger Is expected to return as the monosyllabic
Terminator.
The trilogy is expected to be
accompanied by a new tv show, which will tie in with the overall story of the
films.
