Joe Wright’s (Atonement) Pan is
starting to move forward. According to Deadline Wright’s reinvention of the
classic book by J.M. Barrie as found its Hook. The news outlet reports that
actor Garrett Hedlund is set to star as the iconic pirate. Hedlund was up
against Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) and Ezra Miller (The Perks of Wallflower).
This new take on the story of
Peter Pan will show Pan as an orphan that is taken to the magic Neverland
island where he leads the natives to rebel against a band of pirates.
Hook will not be the main villain
of the movie as it has been stated that Blackbeard will be the Captain that
leads the pirate crew. For the Blackbeard part actors Hugh Jackman and Javier Bardem
have been mentioned as potential candidates.
