Despite the overall step down in
quality in comparison to the first Taken, Taken 2 rakes an astonishing $376
million worldwide, leaving the first installment for dust, so it was to be expected
that another member of the Mills family would be kidnapped, yet again. Deadline
is reporting that stars Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace will return but so will
the director of Taken 2, Olivier Megaton. The news outlet also reports that
once again Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen will also return to pen the script,
which will most likely involve Neeson kick the shit out of some mafia ass.
Deadline also reports that Forest
Whitaker is in early talks to join Neeson and Grace in the third installment,
but at this time it’s unknown for what role, a mob boss? An old friend of
Neeson? Perhaps he is the long lost brother of Neeson and he is the one that
gets kidnapped this time and not Kim (Grace) again.
