First Image And New Creepy Trailer From Penny Dreadful

Showtime has unveiled the first image from the upcoming horror series, Penny Dreadful, starring Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Billie Pipper, Rory Kinnear, Timothy Dalton, Reeve Carney, Harry Treadaway, Helen McCrory, Simon Russell Beale and Danny Sapani.

On Penny Dreadful we will see all of the classic monsters like Dr. Frankenstein and his creation, Dorian Gray, some creatures from Dracula, explorers, spiritualists and all around heroes.

John Logan (Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator) was the creator behind the show and will act as writer and executive producer, alongside Sam Mendes.  

The network also released a new disturbing trailer.

Penny Dreadful will premiere on Showtime in the Spring of 2014.

Some of literature's most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. Penny Dreadful is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.
