Alongside James Gunn’s Guardians of
the Galaxy Marvel has another dark horse on their hands witch is Edgar Wright’s
adaptation of Ant-Man. Yesterday director Edgar Wright wrote on his blog “homework”
and then posted an image featuring Ant-Man’s gear from the animated show
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, episode To Steal an Ant-Man, which I saw
and (Spoiler Alert) is about Scott Lang stealing the suit from the original
Ant-Man Hank Pym and commit crimes.
Wright had previously said that "The
idea that we have for the adaptation is to actually involve both... Henry Pym
and Scott Lang," and with Kevin Feige saying that Ant-Man will be a “heist
film”, it seems that we will see something similar in 2015 on the big screen.
Marvel has officially confirmed Paul
Rudd to play Ant-Man, but they didn’t say which one, Pym or Lang.
Ant-Man will open on July 31st,
2015.
