The campy 1960’s Batman series is loved and mocked at the same time, all thanks to the pows! and the bams!, but despite that it has a massive fan base, but because of some legal issues regarding ownership over the property, it was never made available to own, until now that is. It seems that the legal dispute has ended and the series will now be getting an official release.
Talk show host Conan O’Brien made
the announcement via twitter, but all we know at this time is that Warner Bros.
will release all 120 episodes together in a series box set.
The show starred Adam West as Batman,
Burt Ward as Robin, Cesar Romano as the Joker, Burgess Meredith as the Penguin,
Julie Newmar as the Catwoman, Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, Vincent Price as Egghead
and later on Eartha Kitt toke on the role of Catwoman.
Very excited @WBHomeEnt is releasing the Batman '66 Complete TV Series in 2014! The seat smells like Adam West: http://t.co/cqWjlpW1Gn
