I laughed but now I want to see it. Check out the trailer for David Sandberg’s Kung Fury, which is currently going through a Kickstarter campaign.
The premise for Kung Fury is as
weird and ridiculous as the 80’s action flicks it is based on, but that’s why it
works so brilliantly, I mean isn’t that also the premise for Machete, Grindhouse,
Machete Kills and countless other mainstream movies that grab the spirit of
those kind of action flicks and then pay them an homage?
Kung Fury Official Synopsis:
During an unfortunate series of
events a friend of Kung Fury is assasinated by the most dangerous kung fu
master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides
to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the
Nazi empire once and for all. Kung Fury is a visually spectacular action comedy
that has it's foundation in 80s cop movies.
