If you’re a New Yorker and like comic books, then chances are that you know of Midtown Comics, one of the Big Apple’s biggest comic book store chains. Well today they made a big splash in the comic book and film world, when they went on Twitter and posted a picture of a poster that Warner Bros. had sent them. The poster is apparently for a Wonder Twins film with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher attached to play the lead roles. Then again…
The
Wonder Twins, or Jayna and Zan made their first appearance in 1977 in the “The
All-New Super Friend Hour” and by touching one another and saying “Wonder Twins
powers activate!” they would unleash their true powers, which in case of Zan is
to transform in any form of water and Zayna to turn into any animal.
I
say then again because the chances of Warner Bros. deciding not bring other
more noticeable and perhaps more deserving character to film and instead bringing
these two to the big screen seems strange, which means that the poster is more
likely either a prank or a viral poster for another movie, but the store is
keen on making fans and not fans believe in them, so they decided to post
another picture in Twitter, this time of the mailing tube in which the poster
came in. The tube sort of proves that it did in fact come from the Warner Bros.
studio and it doesn’t seem like the store would use WB property and actors
names to bring people to their store.
So
if this isn’t a prank then there is another possibility, it can be for Doug
Ellin’s Entourage feature film, which is expected to begin shooting shortly. It’s
possible that this poster is for that movie and not a Wonder Twins movie
because the show previously featured a fake Aquaman feature film, which was set
to be directed by James Cameron.
I’m
not a betting man, but if I were to bet I would go all in as this an Entourage
viral poster and not a Wonder Twins actual movie poster.
Here's the Wonder Twins poster with the @WarnerBrosEnt poster tube it was sent to us in. Seems legit... pic.twitter.com/zSiDNEtT4V
