Back in August we posted that director Michael Almereyda (Hamlet, Trance) was taking on the words of one William Shakespear’s plays, Cymbeline, which stars Ethan Hawke, Dakota Johnson, Milla Jovovich, Penn Badgley, Ed Harris, Anton Yelchin, John Leguizamo and Delroy Lindo.
According to Yahoo! Movies Almereyda’s Cymbeline is
about “the impossible love between Imogen (Dakota Johnson) and Posthumus (Penn
Badgley), and on the conniving influence of the Queen (Milla Jovovich) on her
husband, King Cymbeline (Ed Harris).”
The movie is reported to be “in the vein of Sons of
Anarchy and Baz Luhrmann‘s Romeo + Juliet, and is an epic battle between dirty
cops and a drug-dealing biker gang set in a corrupt 21st century America.”
At this time there isn’t a release date, but here is
the trailer.
