While
preparing for this article I couldn’t believe that thirteen years have passed
since Pixar’s Finding Nemo swam its way into the lives of children all over the
world, with its touching story and colorful characters, so it’s no surprised
that awhile back it was announced that a sequel was in the making, but instead
of going with a Nemo and sequel this time the story would be focused on Dory,
the short time memory blue fish, who helped Merlin (Nemo’s father) find his
son.
Up to
this point the only news that came out was that the movie final might suffer
some changes and that Vicky Lewis would again be voicing Deb and her “sister”
Flo, who disappears every time there isn’t a mirror around, Eugene Levy, Diane
Keaton and Ty Burrell.
Now
it seems that actor Willem Dafoe is coming back to play Gill, the leader of the
tank where Nemo was put in and that along with his companions managed to
escape.
In a
recent interview to TF, the actor confessed that he already started working on
Finding Dory, although the official release date is three years away.
“Yeah
I’ve already started. It’s even better than the first. It’s fantastic. It’s
good to say I think it’s going to be better than the first; that’s good
advertising! It’s difficult to repeat a success and so many years afterwards,
but it’s really cool. I’ve done one session so far and I just am going to have
such a good time.”
