Here is the first trailer for Alex Gibney’s documentary The Armstrong Lie, which takes a look at the doping scandal in a different way, since Gibney’s started this documentary in 2009, as a look at Armstrong’s comeback. After lots of shooting and plenty of denials about doping, the bomb hit and the documentary took a strange and “unpredictable” turn, and as the narration says in the trailer, this isn’t a film about doping, it’s “about power”.
The
Armstrong Lie opens on November 8th.
The
Armstrong Lie Official Synopsis:
In
2009 Alex Gibney was hired to make a film about Lance Armstrong’s comeback to
cycling. The project was shelved when the doping scandal erupted, and re-opened
after Armstrong’s confession. “The Armstrong Lie” picks up in 2013 and presents
a riveting, insider’s view of the unraveling of one of the most extraordinary
stories in the history of sports. As Lance Armstrong himself says: “I didn’t
live a lot of lies, but I lived one big one.”
