One of the most beloved families in tv and film is getting a new lease on life (pun intended) with a big screen animated movie.
Since
its inception in 1938 by cartoonist Charles Addams, The Addams Family as had
live action tv show that run from 1946 to 1966, three live action films (the
last one straight to video), video games, a children animated serial and in
2010 a Broadway Musical.
According
to Variety, writer (Corpse Bride and Monster House) Pamela Pettler will be handling
the script.
Some
years ago Tim Burton was set to direct a stop-motion adaptation but unfortunately
the project fell apart.
At this
point no other names have been associated to the project.
