With
The Avengers: Age of Ultron gearing up to start shooting, the cast for the
highly anticipated sequel is almost complete, with Robert Downey Jr., Chris
Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and
Samuel L. Jackson already signed in for their respective roles, which leaves to
roles of Quicksilver and his sister Scarlet Witch empty.
The
last we heard, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in negotiations to play
Quicksilver and so was actress Elizabeth Olsen for Scarlet Witch, but now it
seems that things have change, at least according to Samuel L. Jackson, who in
an interview to The Wall Street Journal, more or less confirmed the Olson would
be in the movie.
“I
don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting
in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we
added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know
what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a
script.”
At
this point Marvel neither confirmed it or denied it, but it’s safe to assume
that Jackson wouldn’t just say “…we added Ms. Olsen…” with some kind of insider
knowledge.
The
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1st, 2015.
