Many hoped that Bill Murray’s return to the supernatural would have been with Ghostbusters 3, but unfortunately despite all wishful thinking and talking that project is doomed to never get off the ground.
Today
DreamWorks Animation announced that the actor would be lending his voice to
their upcoming B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations, where he will be
playing a villainous ghost named Addison Drake.
“Bill
Murray is the perfect actor to bring this character to life – or should I say
‘after-life?” said Director Tony Leondis. “Along with Jennifer and Octavia,
this is a dream cast. I can’t imagine a team more capable of packing a funnier
punch to this broadly comedic ghost story.”
Murray
will join Jennifer Coolidge, Octavia Spencer, Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy,
Rashida Jones and Matt Bomer.
The
story follows two ghosts who join B.O.O. and hunt down the world’s greatest
haunter.
B.O.O.:
Bureau of Otherworldly Operations opens on June 5, 2015.
