In recent interview to MTV, actor Anthony Mackie says that the dynamic between Falcon and Cap isn’t the same as Batman and Robin, he isn’t Cap’s sidekick.
"It's
interesting because a lot of people equate it to Batman and Robin, but the
reality of it is it's more of a working relationship, a respect relationship as
opposed to a leader and follower," said Mackie.
"The three of us (Cap, Falcon, and Black Widow) work really well together
and we support each other. All of us are really different in our abilities and
powers, so when we come together we make an awesome tandem."
Captain
America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4th, 2014 and stars Chris
Evans, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders,
Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Maximiliano
Hernández, Robert Redford and Georges St-Pierre.
“Captain
America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left
off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and
teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet
shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
