Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Production have recently hired the Hemlock Grove writers, Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman to adapt one of H.G. Well’s classic books, The Island of Doctor Moreau.
Per
Deadline, “the intention is to make it a sci-fi film with a topical ecological
message.”
The story
is about a young man, who is shipwrecked on an island where he meets a
scientist (Dr. Moreau) and his men/animal hybrids .
