About a month ago director Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) said that they were “narrowing down the writer” for the next installment in the Joe franchise, and now apparently they found what they were looking for.

Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman) has been hired to write the script
for Joe 3. Daugherty recently worked on Neil Burger’s Divergent and Jonathan
Liebesman’s reboot of the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Despite
the less than good reviews, actors Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson are expected
to comeback.
